Etiquette at Abundance Guest House
Abundance guest house is not a holiday accommodation.
It embodies the spirit of
Auroville way of living.
- It’s a gateway to experience Auroville. Open and close the gate by yourself without horn since it’s a residential area. We encourage friendly social experience, hence no room service and serves one self.
- “Conserve water ”, its an important element of life. So we appreciate using the same towels more than once.
- Please refill your water bottles at the café (filtered fresh water). A way to socialize.
- Complimentary breakfast is provided at the café, from 8 am to 9:30 am. Walk a few more steps to place your used utensils and sort your paper and food waste in the bins.
- Due to lush greenery and trees, we can’t avoid small insects like ants, mosquitos, millipedes, small lizards etc. from entering the rooms despite of proper ceiling of the gaps and cleaning, especially during rain. As we share the world with them, we will help you to remove them if you find any. Most importantly 99% of the insects are completely harmless.
- Abundance is a place for those who are looking for a peaceful stay so there is no television or intercom. please do not play loud music and avoid loud conversation.
- Alcohol and drugs are prohibited. All are non-smoking rooms, however smokers can smoke at the parking.
- We will not take the responsibilities for any action or miss behavior outside the guest house during your stay.
- As parents or guardians of children, you are personally responsible to supervise them at all times. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or allow them to roam the guest house property unsupervised.
- Outsiders are allowed only for a short while and please do not bring them to the guest house after 8pm for safety concerns.
